January is the time of new beginnings. But how do you begin if you don’t know what you want in life. Time to decide what you want. You can begin very easily with a want list. For example: I want to be satisfied and respected at work. I want to be loved at home. I want to feel connected with Spirit. This is a great place to start! Now you can begin adding what things at work would help you to feel satisfied and respected, etc.
Do NOT focus on the “HOW” things will change, or be accomplished or feel like you have to make all this happen. Simply begin to focus on how you would FEEL if you had the satisfaction, respect, love and connection that you are looking for in life. Now is it time to start working with the Universe to manifest those things. The Universe acts like a waiter at a restaurant. It will check in but can’t do very much to help us without our guidance, decisions and re-evaluations.
Our past, present and future are of our making. If we decide to order spaghetti and meatballs and the waiter brings mashed potatoes we can say “No, that is not what I ordered.” We have to provide feedback for the Universe so that the true wishes and intent come through.
If you have been working on manifesting a new job and an opportunity comes up it is time to re-evaluate! This opportunity may be the Universe asking “Is this what you want?” You do not have to take this opportunity but consider it so, you say “Did I order this? Is it a nice surprise with unexpected benefits? Or is it tripe and not what I ordered at all?” With every opportunity examine it a bit to see what pieces fit your overall want list. The Universe may be offering something similar, or a new direction or your unspoken fears and it is up to you to decide if it is what you want!
We are at the wheel of the car and the Universe is just the navigation. We have the ultimate choice of direction. Make sure you keep your eyes on the road, consider information that comes up (like your gas light coming on) and remember your destination! In other words, set long term goals, have visual reminders, e.g. photos of a vacation location on your vision board, consider information on that location and others that might cross your path, and last but definitely not least: remain connected to how you would feel if you already accomplished this goal! Have fun creating your New Year!!
Take time to breathe today. Take time to see something beautiful today. Take time to smell something good today. And last but not least, take time to SMILE today!
