SmileScopes are a way for many of us to connect with our inner spirit and be reminded of joy! This connection can be made with descriptions, animals, numbers, crystals, etc. Each person can develop his or her own comfortable connection by exploring the things that make them smile.
You made it!! It is December! Whether you have reached all of you yearly goals or not, it is time to celebrate your progress! It is all about Progress rather than Perfection! Celebrate what you have learned! Celebrate that you are here and are a very important person.
Each person is an equal, whether you make millions, are homeless, are a Nobel winner or a stay at home mom. Each of us play an equal part to everyone else. How much you have or don’t have does not change an important truth: we are the same.
Just like the corners of a triangle. We all may face in different directions but we are all vital to the completion of the whole.
It is important to let people in our lives, regardless of who they are, know that they matter. It is important to take that a step further and make sure that the people in our lives know that they matter to us but they also need to know that they matter to everyone else.
Take the time to smile at the person in line with you, TELL your loved ones that you love them, look at each person rather than seeing their possessions, appearance, political affiliation, or education and instead see that they are body, mind, heart and spirit just like you.
Celebrate Light wherever and whenever you can.
December reminds us that even though it is getting dark very early, we can surround ourselves with Light. Quartz crystals are wonderful at providing a feeling of light in their presence. Use them as reminders to “keep it light”, re-center and remember to ask, “How important is it?” Most times things on our “to do” lists are not really as important as we think they are. It is really just our own expectations that make them important!
The color white also can provide a much needed break from the visual distractions we are surrounded by each day. White is the color of a blank page, of freshly fallen snow and of a Smile! Now is the time to begin gently planning your new beginning. What do you want to do on your new page! Look for inspiration! You can start anywhere, gently!
Create a safe haven. Slow down; enjoy a fire, candle, warm blanket and/or a good book. This is the time to snuggle. Surround yourself with warmth and softness. This includes our fuzzy friends, pets! Outside of our safe haven, the hectic storm is blowing but within we are calm, warm, happy and refreshed.
Surround yourself with sounds you enjoy (this includes silence) even for a few moments each day. Your car is a great place to make into a safe haven of sound. Be conscious of how sounds make you feel and use that knowledge to give yourself the reprieve you need.
Create a safe haven of scent. Many of us already do this around this time of year. Now we can do it with the realization that it is making us healthier because we are feeding our mind and spirit as well as bodies!
Are you seeking Love, Respect, Acceptance, and Joy in your life? You will find it. What you think about will come about so think good thoughts about yourself and your life! It all starts with you!
Remember the first gift you give to others is always yourself. Take the time to make it the best gift possible. Taking care of yourself first, allows you to give others your best self! It is this person that they want to see! When we are our best selves, we are the Light! We are truly a part of joy! How fun!!
Take time to breathe today. Take time to see something beautiful today. Take time to smell something good today. And last but not least, take time to SMILE today!
