Canstruction, a not-for-profit organization committed to ending hunger, illustrates how one can make a difference. Albany’s first Zoo will come to life on the 4th floor of the New York State Museum as part of this year’s annual Canstruction event. Feeding both our imaginations and the community, this special exhibition will feature more than a dozen zoo animal structures designed by teams of the Capital Region’s best and brightest architects, engineers, contractors and students, using only canned goods.
At the close of the exhibit, each structure is de-canstructed and every can is donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District to help families in our region.
Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods to the Museum as contributions to the Food Pantries and to use when casting ballots for their favorite animal in the zoo.
